Important Update Regarding Personal Data on Your MyZaka Account
We value the trust you place in us and want to inform you directly about a recent event that has affected some of your personal information shared when assessing your eligibility for the MyZaka Instant Loan solution – offered jointly by Mascom and Letshego.
Letshego Botswana, our service partner, recently experienced a limited cyber issue affecting data provided in 2023.
Your MyZaka wallet and PIN remain safe, and we are informed by Letshego that there is no evidence that your information was misused. However, some personal details that include your full name, phone number, address, (if provided), national ID or passport number were affected. Please note that this does NOT include copies of your identity documents.
Upon becoming aware we took immediate action:
– Informed all relevant authorities.
– Collaborated with Letshego to strengthen all security measures and enhance monitoring.
We further wish to assure you that the Mascom security environment was not impacted, and all Mascom systems remain secure.
As standard best practice, please always avoid sharing your PIN or account details with anyone, and be cautious of unexpected calls, messages, or requests for information.
