Fintech Commercial And Business Development Manager

JOB SUMMARY

APPOINTMENT TYPE: Permanent

We are looking for an exceptional collaborative leader to deliver the best possible Partnerships, Alliances and Strategic Synergies with the objective of offering the best possible quality of service to Fintech customers when they interact with Mascom Fintech channels. The incumbent will in addition lead the Fintech sales and distribution strategy, develop, implement, and maintain tools, processes and standards to accelerate the expansion and improve the quality of Fintech distribution network in Botswana mostly through key partnerships from billers, bulk disbursements, unions, agents, merchants etc.

The Incumbent will design and implement the Fintech distribution strategy with focus on user experience and business growth, review and constantly improve Mascom value proposition to its Fintech Agents and lead the development and implementation of new products and tools to support Mascom Fintech distribution partners. In addition, the successful candidate will build a strong and robust Float/Liquidity Management system to always ensure float availability, setup SMART Fintech KPIs and support the Regional Sales Teams and other players to drive Fintech Sales & Distribution KPIs to be executed in the field and ensure Mascom engagements and incentives to the key Fintech distribution partners are effectively delivering Fintech strategy. Other key performance areas for the role include organising weekly meetings with Regional Sales Teams and other Mascom internal relationships to ensure complete accountability on all KPIs, managing and resolving escalations that have impact on critical path of service delivery, escalating issues that will result in significant time, scope, employee/customer or cost impact if not resolved.

      • The role requires the incumbent to be technically skilled and seasoned in Budget, Partnership, Alliances and Project Management. In addition, the incumbent must have strong aptitude for Product Design & Development, Market intelligence & Analytics, Sales Strategy & Planning and Fintech Product Knowledge. Other technical Competencies for the role include Payments System Knowledge, Technology & Innovation, Technology/System Integration Knowledge, Digital Enablement and Product Portfolio Management.

Qualifications

      • Degree in Computer Technology, Business Administration, Sales, Social Science or related qualification.

Most importantly, the incumbent must be people centric.

Job Requirements

      • Degree in Computer Technology, Business Administration, Sales, Social Science or related qualification.
      • 5-7 years’ experience with minimum experience of 3 years in the field of products and service management with exposure to Mobile Money/ Fintech.
      • Existing relationships with key potential partners an added advantage
      • Telecom experience will be advantageous. Preferred industries include Banking/ Financial Services/ Telecommunications, Information Technology (IT) etc
