JOB SUMMARY – 5 YEARS FTC

We are looking for an exceptional leader who will lead our Fintech division which is responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing innovative Fintech solutions. A key element of this role is to drive enduring partnerships and collaborations while achieving business growth, creating customer value and superb experiences for our customers.

Key Performance Areas

The incumbent will develop the Fintech strategy to drive comprehensive and tailor-made offerings aligned to market trends, customer needs as well as regulatory requirements. Furthermore, the successful incumbent will be required to develop a robust merchant and agent networks to ensure availability of Fintech services across the country. To succeed on this role, the Fintech Head will collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., Product Developers, S&D, Customer Experience, and Branding teams) to translate consumer needs into product features to enhance existing product portfolio and build new Fintech products/ services. As such, one must manage cross-functional project teams and other relevant collaborations.

If you fancy the challenge, you must demonstrate strength in Financial Acumen, Product Design & Development, Market Intelligence & Analytics, Budget Management, Sales Strategy & Planning. In addition, you must have developed solid competencies in Partnership & Alliances Management, Project Management, Fintech Product Knowledge and Payments System Knowledge. Other technical competencies for the role include Technology & Innovation, Technology/System Integration Knowledge, Digital Enablement and Product Portfolio Management.

 

We are therefore looking for a leader who is People Centric, Creative and Innovative and has demonstrated excellency in Commercial Acumen & Organizational Awareness. In addition, a track record of Customer Orientation & Stakeholder Management, Planning & Organization, Diversity & Inclusion and Networking & Building Collaborative Relationships is essential.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent – Business/Finance/Commerce/Marketing/Telecommunication/

    Computing/ Engineering

    • Relevant Managerial / Senior Management Development Programme and/or
    • MBA would be advantageous.
    • Minimum of ten (10) years practical work experience, five (5) of which should have been in a management role in the field of products and service management with exposure to Mobile Money/ Fintech/Banking.
    • Experience in customer data and field visit experience to manage the day-to-day growth of the business.
    • Experience in expanding and managing the distribution of a mass market product or service.

    Preferred industries include Banking/ Financial Services/ Telecommunications, Information Technology (IT) etc
