Mascom Batanani Walk is back!

Get ready to take that step up and make a difference!

Launched in 2019, the Mascom Batanani Walk aims to drive positive societal change through community engagement and support for various causes. “Batanani,” an iKalanga word meaning “Unite,” embodies the spirit of unity and collective action for positive change. The walk, which features 15km, 10km, and 5km categories, has become one of Botswana’s most anticipated charity events.
Since its inception, the Mascom Batanani Walk has unified Batswana to support numerous causes:
1. 2019 – Gender Based Violence (Botswana Police Women’s Wing, Francistown)
2. 2020 – Advocating for Children’s Rights Protection (SOS Village, Francistown)
3. 2021 – Mental Health (Jubilee Hospital Psychiatric Unit, Francistown)
4. 2022 – Supporting the Deaf (Centre for Deaf Education, Francistown)
5. 2023 – Drugs and Substance (BOSASNET)
Mascom Wireless is thrilled to announce the 6th edition of the Mascom Batanani Walk, scheduled for August 10, 2024, at the Francistown Council Stadium. Under the theme “Cyber Security Awareness,” this year’s event promises to bring together communities to support and promote online safety education for students.
