Mascom CEO’s Kiddies Christmas Party and Housing Project Handover

The CEO’s Kiddies Christmas Party, hosted by Mascom CEO Ms. Dzene Makhwade-Seboni, is an annual initiative dedicated to bringing joy and holiday cheer to orphans and vulnerable children in the region. This year’s event is significant, as it coincided with the handover of four houses to families in need within the Northeast district, in Senyawe, Gungwe and Mapoka, with the last house in Tsolamosese, Mogoditshane, reflecting Mascom’s continued commitment to uplifting local communities through impactful programs.

Mascom’s Housing Project forms a core part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, focusing on sustainable initiatives that uplift communities across Botswana and showing support towards key government initiatives. Each newly constructed house was carefully designed to offer safe and dignified shelter, providing families with stability, security, and a fresh start.

This year’s event featured a range of exciting activities for the children, including games, festive treats, and gift-giving, creating a joyful atmosphere for all attendees. The official handover ceremony for the new houses, attended by local leaders, stakeholders, and community members, celebrated collaboration and shared impact, marking a significant milestone for the recipient families and the community at large.

Through our ongoing community-driven projects, Mascom Wireless continues to champion sustainable development and social responsibility, exemplifying a vision of hope and progress for Batswana. By blending festive celebrations with long-term support initiatives, Mascom is leading the way in creating a brighter, more connected future for communities across the country, It is also a testament of our purpose, the essence of why we do what we do which is to power connections that inspire change! We believe that through initiatives like these, we are able to inspire others to follow suit and change the lives of those in their communities.
